It was a meeting with the wives and children of our fallen heroes. We got to know each other, talked, and each woman shared her special story, her challenges, feelings, and anxieties. We held an art therapy session for our guests, and together we created candles from wax. Afterwards, we talked a lot over refreshments.
While the mothers and grandmothers were resting, their children spent time with our volunteers, playing and creating beauty as well: painting plaster figures with paints.
At the end of the meeting, we prayed together for each family that lost loved ones in the war. We also left each woman a small gift and a Bible as a memento of the evening. We also gave children's Bibles to the children.
We sincerely thank the Stashchak and Kachmarchyk families for the baked goods, and we also thank the speaker of the evening, Olena Dub, for the time she spent talking to our women-heroes!
