The school year at the specialized school “Harmony” has come to an end, and we are grateful to have been part of the lives of its students — very special children, each with different syndromes, diagnoses, or cerebral palsy.

But each one of them carries their own light, their own unique world — and we had the honor of catching a glimpse of it. For the last bell ceremony, we couldn’t stay away. So our team came to “Harmony” to once again hug these wonderful children and support them on their special day.

The kids were visited by the cheerful Dog Patron, who hosted games and brought lots of smiles. We also brought sweets for every child.

However, we’d like to share one story that will stay with us for a long time.

One boy with Down syndrome sat quietly during the celebration and suddenly began to cry. He had been unintentionally skipped when the sweets were being handed out. He just sat there and cried softly, like a child. One of our volunteers noticed and quickly started looking for another treat. But it was the parents of another boy who responded first — they gave him their own candy. And that small, childlike gratitude — the hugs, the kisses, the heartfelt “thank you” — moved everyone to tears.

This story is a powerful reminder of how deeply these children feel love and kindness. They don’t need expensive gifts — they need love, attention, and sincerity. Even for a single piece of candy, they hug, kiss, and remember. And that’s why we’re convinced: these children deserve our care and support. Especially those who don’t have caring parents or good living conditions.

We are thankful to the “Harmony” specialized school for their trust. And to the children — for the love they teach us, better than any book ever could.
