In eastern and southern Ukraine, there are hundreds of villages and towns where life goes on despite the dangers and living conditions of today. Not only the elderly live there, but also their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visiting the frontline areas for three years, we have noticed an interesting trend. Residents of all ages use bicycles to get around their villages or cities. They ride bicycles not only to save their time, but also to bring water, bread, or other food for their families. Very often, when volunteers arrive at a location to distribute humanitarian aid to civilians, we see elderly grandparents riding their bikes from neighboring villages, loading up a few bags of food, bread and hygiene products and returning home. Our volunteers have also noticed that despite the high demand for bicycles in these areas, most of them are not new anymore and break down due to frequent use.

As a result, we realized that this is yet another challenge to the service we can perform for these people, with the help and support of our partners. That's why we are launching a new campaign - Give a Bike to the Movement. Anyone from anywhere in the world can send a bike to us, and our volunteers will collect a large number of bikes and deliver them to the residents of the frontline areas. If you would like to contribute to this project in any other way, we will leave a link where you can make a financial contribution. Or, if you have additional questions or suggestions, we are open to dialog - road.of.life.boryslav@gmail.com
