Here is a short report from the trip to Kyiv region.
The volunteers set out on June 17, at 5 am. First of all, the guys arrived at the Irpin Bible Church. There they were fed and accommodated for the night. Our volunteers had the opportunity to see with their own eyes the city with many destroyed buildings.
The next day, the guys arrived in Borodyanka to meet with people who are currently living in a modular town. This is a place where temporary buildings have been arranged for internally displaced people. At the moment, 352 people live in these houses, who are now homeless as a result of the war. Volunteers from Turkey are staying there and preparing meals for the people living there every day. Negotiations are underway with volunteers from Poland to provide two more such houses for families who are homeless.
In the city, 14 high-rise buildings are almost completely destroyed and about 140 buildings are damaged. Another 31 villages around Borodyanka were damaged.
Food packages, bread, buns, Bibles, children's Bibles and coloring books were distributed in this area. The guys also brought a washing machine, microwave ovens, irons and kettles for the people living there.
